Improper and inconsistent media deaeration can cause dissolution results to go out of specification (OOS) leading to internal CAPA investigations and scrutiny by regulatory agencies. This is partly due to the highly manual process of media mixing, deaeration, and accurately dispensing into dissolution vessels. Lab notes, if any, are logged by hand. Furthermore, single-vessel dispensing can lead to inconsistent dissolved oxygen (DO) levels from one vessel to the next. And using surfactant media can cause a whole other set of problems. The entire process lacks data integrity.

The MDS-700 is a mobile media dispensing station that deaerates and accurately dispenses into six vessels simultaneously in a tightly-controlled 21 CFR Part 11 environment. The MDS includes a single-filler wand to fill media replacement vessels and a modular cart engagement design to quickly switch from one media to the next. Using the embedded software interface, simply follow the on-screen wizard to log in, select your method, pre-heat the tank, log the serial number of the dissolution tester you’re about to dispense into, then dispense into 6-vessels, fill the media replacement vessel(s), log the pH value and pH meter serial number, log the DO value and DO meter serial number, and document any observations or noteworthy comments. The entire process is fast and results in a detailed report that is stored in long-term memory and can be printed at any time to your standard network printer or a small serial printer. The MDS has configurability to meet any I.T. security policy and the audit trail has unlimited storage with on-demand printing at any time. The MDS makes it easy to transfer methods from one MDS to another via an embedded USB port, and so much more!
