Logan designs, manufacturers, sells, and services high quality, precision laboratory instrumentation for the pharmaceutical, biotech, contract, government, and academic laboratory environments. Headquartered in Somerset, NJ, Logan manufacturers (assembles) products in Somerset, NJ and in Shanghai, China. 

The Somerset facility is the global HQ for Logan with approximately 24 staff members. The Logan Office Administrator is responsible for day-to-day administrative support for engineers, sales management, service management, customer service, and executive management in a slow-to-medium paced environment. We’re looking for someone that is friendly, resourceful, organized, and ready to take ownership of many administrative functions so our departments can focus on their own critical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Reception desk: Serve as the ambassador for visitors.
  • Supplies: Ensure office supplies, break room supplies, janitorial supplies, etc. are maintained and organized.
  • Finance support: Support the finance department with collections, ERP data entry, filling out forms, etc.
  • Projects: Take on small administrative projects when needed such as, making binders, shredding, coordinating travel arrangements, data entry, etc.
  • Order entry: Cross-trained to enter customer orders into the ERP system in case the customer service department needs help.
  • Event coordination: When required, order lunches, book meeting rooms, make dinner reservations, plan office parties, prepare the conference room, etc.
  • Outside vendor coordination: Coordinate janitorial services, HVAC maintenance, fire extinguisher certifications, repairs, etc. 

Skills

  • Minimum two years working as office administrator or administrative assistant.
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written)
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • A good attitude and ability to help Logan get more organized
