FDC-6E is a water jacket vertical diffusion cell apparatus, suitable for in-vitro release tests (IVRT) and in-vitro permeation tests (IVPT) fully in compliance with USP GC 1724 guidelines. It is designed for testing semi-solids, and topical products such as creams, gels, lotions, or ointments ideal for cosmetics and skin care products. Featuring a built-in water heater circulator and tank reservoir instead of the external pump.
The VDC (water jacket vertical diffusion cells) are entirely constructed with borosilicate glass. Built-in water heater circulator ensures even temperature distribution. Skin or membrane is mounted between the cell cap (donor) and the cell body (receptor).
Temperature is maintained at 32-37ºC by the built-in water heater circulator. Users can easily insert the VDC cells into the non-stick cell holders, which support various sizes of VDC (Franz cells) or specialty cells such as cornea cells and nail cells. After the circulation tubing is connected with the manifold panel, all VDC will be maintained within ±0.2°C (exceeding + 1.0°C required by USP GC 1724) of the set temperature.
Homogeneous distribution of temperature in the receptor solution is accomplished by the agitating motion of a Teflon-covered magnetic stirring driven by an external magnet, which is mounted on a timing motor. The cell cap exposes the epidermis/membranes to the ambiance, ideal for finite dose application or by a micropipette or Dosing straw. For IVRT. Various thicknesses Sample loading gaskets for different volumes make dose dispensing easy. Plastic covers are also available to avoid the sample evaporation.
FDC-6E diffusion cell apparatus meets all current USP, and OECD guidelines.
